Marty White, CFSP
President-General Manager
Marty White is the Owner and General Manager of Stover Funeral Home. He began his career in funeral service in October 1993 at Campbell Funeral Home and joined Stover Funeral Home in March 2007 before becoming owner in March 2019. Marty entered funeral service with a strong desire to serve people during some of the most challenging times of their lives while giving back to the community. Over the years, he has especially valued the meaningful relationships and connections formed through serving families in the Shenandoah Valley.
Born and raised in Abingdon, Marty is a 1991 graduate of Abingdon High School and a 1997 graduate of Gupton-Jones College of Funeral Service. He is a member of the Phi Sigma Eta National Morticians Fraternity and holds numerous professional certifications and licenses, including, Certified Funeral Service Practitioner, Advanced Planning Specialist, Certified Crematory Operator, Licensed Celebrant, and Mass Fatality Medical Reserve Corps certification. Marty is also licensed as a Funeral Director in both Virginia and West Virginia.
Throughout his career, Marty has been deeply involved in funeral service leadership at the local, state, and national levels through organizations including the National Funeral Directors Association, Virginia Funeral Directors Association, and Order of the Golden Rule. He served as President of the Virginia Funeral Directors Association in 2021 and has represented Virginia at the NFDA Advocacy Summit for more than 30 years.
Marty’s wife, Sharon White, teaches English and Theater Arts at Strasburg High School. Together, they are active in the community and serve on numerous civic and community boards in Strasburg. Marty also serves as Chairman of the Strasburg Christmas Parade and, alongside Sharon, serves as a host family for the Strasburg Express baseball team, where he is also a board member. In his free time, Marty enjoys cooking and gardening. They attend Cornerstone United Pentecostal Church.

Sharon White
Secretary-Treasurer
Sharon White has served as Secretary-Treasurer of Stover Funeral Home since 2019, though she first became involved in funeral service after marrying Marty White in 2005. Sharon enjoys supporting the staff of Stover Funeral Home and assisting families in any way she can during difficult times. She also helps organize and coordinate special projects throughout the year, including the annual Stover Funeral Home Candlelight Memorial Service.
In addition to her role at the funeral home, Sharon works full time at Strasburg High School, where she teaches Advanced Placement Language and Composition, Advanced Placement Literature and Composition, and English 12. She is a 1994 graduate of the University of Oklahoma with a Bachelor of Science in Language Arts Education and earned her Master of Arts in Theatre Production from Central Washington University in 2022.
Sharon spends most of her time outside of school working in the school’s theater program, directing the annual all-school musical and leading productions such as Newsies, Fiddler on the Roof, Mamma Mia!, Footloose, Chicago, The Addams Family, and Grease. Since 2011, she has also coached the school’s competitive VHSL one-act play team.
Sharon serves as a Senior Class adviser and National Honor Society adviser and enjoys working with the young people of the community. Outside of work, she loves traveling and exploring new places whenever she has the opportunity.

Matthew Wilson
Funeral Service Licensee
Matt Wilson joined Stover Funeral Home as a Funeral Director in June 2025, bringing with him 16 years of experience in funeral service. Matt was drawn to the profession because of his desire to help others and the fact that no two days are ever the same. He especially values being able to ease the funeral planning process for families and helping provide closure during difficult circumstances.
Matt is licensed as a Funeral Director in both Maryland and Virginia and attended Commonwealth Institute of Funeral Service. Originally from southern Maryland, he now serves the Strasburg community alongside his wife, Crystal, and their three sons, Troy, Matthew, and Hunter.
Outside of work, Matt enjoys camping, fishing, and hunting. He is a member of Strasburg Christian Church and volunteers with the Strasburg Volunteer Rescue Squad. Coworkers describe Matt as easy-going, dependable, and dedicated to helping the families he serves.

Audra Agnew
Office Administrator
Audra Agnew has served as the Office Administrator at Stover Funeral Home since March 2015. What began as a part-time position quickly grew into a full-time role as she discovered how meaningful it was to help families during some of life’s most difficult moments. Audra enjoys meeting families and working alongside them to make the funeral planning process a little easier and more comforting. She believes deeply that every family should feel heard, cared for, and supported during their time of need.
Originally born in Winchester, VA and raised in Woodbridge, VA, Audra is a graduate of Potomac High School and earned her Bachelor of Science in Physical Education from Methodist University in 1989. She also spent many years at Fort Bragg while her husband, Jonathan, served in the Army.
Audra and her husband have two children, Lauran May and Jared Agnew, and are proud grandparents to Anson, Hadley, and Kameron. They also have a chow named Ford. Outside of work, Audra enjoys planting flowers, mowing the yard, playing games and volleyball, and most of all, spending time with her family and grandchildren.
Although she did not grow up in Strasburg, Audra’s family has deep roots in the community through her parents and grandparents. She considers her coworkers at Stover to be like family and lives by a simple philosophy: treat people the way you would want to be treated.

Bill Spiker
Funeral Assistant
Bill Spiker has served as a Funeral Assistant at Stover Funeral Home since October 2019. A lifelong member of the Strasburg community, Bill is a graduate of Strasburg High School Class of 1981 and is a Certified Crematory Operator (CCO). He is also the retired former owner of Spike's Supply, where he was well known throughout the community for many years. Bill is dedicated to supporting families with compassion and care during difficult times.
Bill and his wife, Kim, have two children, Sabrina and Derek, and are proud grandparents to five grandchildren. Outside of the funeral home, Bill enjoys drag racing. Bill and Kim are members of the Round Hill Church of the Brethren where they are active in many capacities, including serving on the church board.

Mike McGrath
Funeral Assistant
Mike McGrath has served as a Funeral Assistant at Stover Funeral Home since December 2020. A Certified Crematory Operator (CCO), Mike brings compassion, reliability, and years of experience working with people to his role at the funeral home.
Before joining Stover, Mike retired from Yellow Freight after more than 30 years of service. He and his wife, Karen, have a daughter, Marissa Gil, who is married to Jose Gil, and they are proud grandparents to Cecilia, Evelyn, and Gianna.
Outside of work, Mike enjoys riding motorcycles and spending time with family. He is also an active member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus.
