Yvonne "Jitter" Hoffman

Yvonne “Jitter” Hoffman 84, of Strasburg, Va went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, October 9, 2024, with her family by her side in Strasburg, VA.

Ms. Hoffman was born in Strasburg, VA on April 28, 1940, the daughter of the late Leslie Thomas and Lillian Beatrice Fahnestock Hoffman. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by brother-in-law Randolph Lynn Miller. Yvonne graduated from Strasburg high school and went on to work for Perry Judds Printing where she worked for over forty years and retired. She is a member of the Green Valley Baptist Church in Middletown, VA. Jitter loved her family very much, she loved to serve the Lord and enjoyed singing at church. Her faith was very important to her. Talking to people in the public about Jesus was top priority. Watching old westerns on tv, working in the yard, and being devoted to her parents was her passion. Jitter had a special friend Leah Houston that would come by and pick her and Phoebe up for church every Sunday morning while Jitter’s car broke down and helped her in many other ways. Jitter will be missed by all, especially her dog Dusty.   

Survivors include her sister Phoebe Miller, of Strasburg, VA, two nieces Autumn Miller of Strasburg, VA Carlette Miller of Strasburg, VA one great niece Olivia Bowers, three great nephews Jacob Miller, Joshua Miller, Phillip Palmer, four great great nephews and one great great niece, and a special friend Leah Houston.

A funeral service for Ms. Hoffman will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Thursday, October 17, 2024, at Green Valley Baptist Church 1838 Chapel Road Middletown, VA. Rev. Tim Kirchoff officiating, burial will follow in the Riverview Cemetery in Strasburg, VA.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 17, 2024, from 11:00 to 1:00 pm at the church.

Pallbearers will be Jacob Miller, Joshua Miller, Phillip Palmer, Jacob Houston, Raymond Mayhew, and James Davis
