Thomas Larry Stickles

Thomas Larry Stickles, 86, of Adelphi, MD passed away Monday, February 2, 2026.

Mr. Stickles was born in Strasburg, VA on September 13, 1938, a son of Loretta “Tillie” Rutz Stickles Campbell and the late Norval “Whimp” Stickles, Sr.  He was a 1956 graduate of Strasburg High School and was a veteran of the U.S. Marines having served four years.  Mr. Stickles graduated from Lynchburg College, taught Biology and Chemistry at Northwestern High School in MD and was a three-time state champion soccer coach.  Mr. Stickles retired from teaching at the age of 64.  In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his stepfather Henry “Pete” Campbell, Jr.; his wife Bronwyn Stickles; siblings Norval Stickles, Jr., Paul Stickles, June Stickles Andrews, Richard Stickles, Sr., and Henry “Petie” Campbell, III.

Survivors include his children Heather Schulte (Jerry) of MD, Dr. Eric Stickles (Siomhan) of England; his grandchildren Brett Schulte, Colin Schulte, Evie Stickles, and Rosie Stickles along with his companion Cheryl Collett.

A celebration of life for Thomas Larry Stickles will be held at a later date.

Memorials may be made in memory of Mr. Stickles to a charity of your choice.
