Thomas Gary “Tommy” Emswiller, 46, left us peacefully on February 13, 2023, at Winchester Medical Center after a hard-fought battle with cancer.
A graveside service for Tommy will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 8, 2023 at the Maurertown Brethren Church Cemetery.
Tommy was born at Shenandoah Memorial Hospital in Woodstock, VA on January 18, 1977, a son of Thomas Seymore Emswiller and the late Linda Christine Graham. Tommy was a kindhearted soul who loved to make people laugh and be the life of the party. He loved animals, the outdoors, football, and movies. In his spare time Tommy loved to fish, watch football, especially the Packers, and watch movies of all kinds from his colossal movie collection. He spent most of his career employed by the Toms Brook Truck Wash. In addition to his mother Tommy was preceded in death by his siblings Chanda Graham Richmond and Billy Ryman; his uncles Gary N. Graham and Glenn D. Graham, and his best friend Titus, the Bull Mastiff, who held a truly special place in his heart.
Tommy is survived by his father Thomas Seymore Emswiller (Linda) of Orange, VA; his daughter Keyana Cahill (Ethan); grandchildren Sophia, Waylon and Isla; siblings Jimmy Walters, Laura Woodward (Ruben) along with several uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews who all loved him very much.
The family suggests that expressions of sympathy be in the form of memorial contributions in Tommy’s name to the Winchester Medical Center, Cancer Center, who were there for him above and beyond.
