Thomas Norwood Coffey, Jr.

Thomas Norwood Coffey, Jr., 60, of Strasburg, VA passed away Monday, February 9, 2026, in Alexandria, VA.

Mr. Coffey was born in Winchester, VA on July 13, 1965, a son of Gartha Wymer Coffey Harper and the late Thomas Norwood Coffey, Sr. Mr. Coffey worked as a truck driver, he loved God, family, tractor trailer trucks, and mafia history.

Survivors include his mother Gartha Wymer Coffey Harper; his daughter Hannah Coffey (Matthew); his sisters Toni Coffey and Sheila Shanholtz (Jason); a brother Patrick Coffey; his close friend, Karen Stemcosky along with beloved aunts, uncles, a niece, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends who will miss him dearly. 

A funeral service for Mr. Coffey will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 16, 2026, at Meadow Mills Church of the Brethren with Wayne Darr officiating.  Burial will follow in Walnut Spring Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at Meadow Mills Church of the Brethren one hour prior to the service.   

Pallbearers will be Lee Coffey, Thomas Lekas, Jeffrey Coffey, Patrick Coffey, Ramone Quinones, and Chris Frye.  Honorary pallbearers will be James Schmidt, Jason Shanholtz, Jadon Shanholtz and Matthew Turner.
