Tara Wynne Walter

Tara Wynne Walter, 72, of Middletown, VA passed away Monday, September 1, 2025, at Winchester Medical Center, Winchester, VA.

Mrs. Walter was born in Woodstock, VA on November 10, 1952, to the late Harold Funk and Gita Rosalie Bly Davison. Mrs. Walter attended Grace United Methodist Church in Middletown, VA. She served on the Board of Trustees for Historic Saint Thomas Chapel, was a member of The Strasburg American Legion Auxiliary as well as the Winchester Elks #867 and Stephens City Moose Lodge.

Survivors include her husband; Harold Thomas Walter; her son; Eric Davison; her siblings Donnie Davison (Peggy), Tina Crabill (Conly) and Trina Bailey (Steve); her special cousin Tanya Heller.

A funeral service for Mrs. Walter will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 9, 2025, at Grace United Methodist Church with Reverend Mary Lock officiating. Interment will follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery. 

The family will receive friends at Stover Funeral Home on Monday, September 8, from 6:00-8:00 pm.

Pallbearers will be Clarence Schurtz, Doug Cornwell, Walter Tewalt, Richard Lindamood, Steve Drummond and Bill Warner.
