Shirley Louise (Altizer) Brannon

Shirley Louise Altizer Brannon, 88, of Middletown, VA passed away Tuesday, May 13, 2025, at her home in Middletown. 

Mrs. Brannon was born on December 3, 1936, in English, West Virginia a daughter of the late Roby Farley and Nannie Lou Mann Altizer.  She was a 1955 graduate of James Wood High School, an avid animal lover and activist.  She worked as an airline stewardess with TACA Airlines then Harris Intertype in Winchester, VA before retiring from Thermo Fisher Scientific in Middletown, VA.  After retirement Shirley worked for Stephens City Outlet for many years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sibling Alice Cooley, Josephine Orndorff, and Eugene Altizer, a son-in-law David Lehr along with the father of her daughter Willaim L. Brannon. 

Mrs. Brannon is survived by her daughter Pamela Lehr along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins. 

A graveside service for Mrs. Brannon will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 17, 2025, at Mount Carmel Cemetery, Middletown, VA with Rev. Mary Lock officiating.
