Sharon Jean Smedley age 63, a resident of Winchester VA passed away Saturday, October 29, 2016 at her residence. A Funeral service for Mrs. Smedley will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, November 3, 2016 at Stover Memorial Chapel with Rev. Charles Doughty officiating. Burial will be private at a later date. She was born on October 6, 1953 a daughter of the late Tina Hugh and Roeslla Ella Hammon Smedley. She was a member of the Church of Christ at Mountain View and worked as a Certified Nurse Assistant. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers, Victor Smedley and Roy Hoover. Survivors include her children, Sonia Michelle Johnson of Winchester, VA and Mickey Tyler Groves of Stephens City, VA; her grandchildren, Noah Djuan Peters, Alyssa Jade Whitt and Kyleigh Faith Groves; her siblings, Anna M. Sanders and William Hoover both of Winchester, VA. The family will receive friends at Stover Funeral Home on Thursday one hour prior to the service.
