Ruth Ellen (Lindamood) Rickard

Ruth Ellen Rickard, 84, of Lebanon Church, VA passed away Wednesday, January 15, 2025, at the Blue Ridge Hospice Inpatient Care Center, Winchester, VA.

Mrs. Rickard was born in Woodstock, VA on September 24, 1940 a daughter of the late Paul Hopewell and Stella Mae Orndorff Lindamood.  She was a 1958 graduate of Strasburg High School and the wife of the late Francis Densil Rickard. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by two brothers Harold Lindamood and James Franklin Lindamood. 

Survivors include her children Ronnie Rickard (Shayla) of Middletown, VA and Sharon Russell (Allen) of Clear Brook, VA; her grandchildren Robbie Rickard, Kristi Rickard, Bradley Russell, and Travis Russell along with seven great- grandchildren.

A funeral service for Mrs. Rickard will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 21, 2025, at Stover Funeral Home.  Burial will follow in Lebanon Church Cemetery. 

The family will receive friends at Stover Funeral Home on Tuesday one hour prior to the service. 

The pallbearers will be Robbie Rickard, Bradley Russell, Travis Russell, Ritchie McDonald, Randy Rickard, and Mitchell Rickard.

Honorary pallbearers will be Mike Rose, Jeff McDonald, Billy McDonald, and Daniel Rickard.
