Russell Casper Hodson, age 78, passed to his eternal home on June 7, 2022, at the Martinsburg VA Medical Center, Martinsburg, WV.
A graveside service for Mr. Hodson will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Monday June 13, 2022, at Panorama Memorial Gardens, Strasburg Road, Strasburg, VA. Full military honors will be conducted by the Shenandoah American Legion Post 77, Strasburg, VA.

A Celebration of Life will be held at PTGI church in Edinburg, VA date and time to be announced.
Russell was born September 11, 1943, in Strasburg, VA. Son of the late Edward Hubert and Bessie LaFollette Hodson. He previously worked as a stone brick mason for many years with Rickets Construction in Winchester, VA. He took great pride in his work. His skills as a mason, are known and seen in homes here locally and internationally. He took part in building a church in Trinidad, West Indies.
Russell enjoyed providing for his family tending a small farm, gardening, and woodworking, and provided a legacy by passing on his skills to his grandsons. His hobbies included watching westerns, sci-fi, nature movies, going for rides in the country, and his greatest joy was always spending time with his family. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers Norman, Kenneth, and Linwood Hodson, and sisters Rosemary Rutz and June Steward.
Russell is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Judy Cook Hodson; his two daughters, Tara Fadely, Holly Aguilar and son-in-law Javier Aguilar, both of Woodstock; three grandsons, Cody Fadely, Ian and Braedon Wymer; two great-grandchildren Jordan Heltzel and Mckinlyn Fadely; two sisters Shirley Orndorff, and Elizabeth (Lea) Harmon; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association in memory of Russell.
