Ronald Franklin Lucas, Sr. 67 of Middletown passed away Saturday, April 4, 2009 at Winchester Medical Center. He was born in Augusta County, VA on July 26, 1941 a son of the late Homer Clinton & Elizabeth Morris Lucas. He was a retired carpenter and loved to work in his yard and garden. Mr. Lucas loved his Dodge pick-up truck which was known as his pride and joy. He and his wife loved Christmas and spent many hours decorated their yard with lights which brought joy to everyone who passed by. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, William Lucas and Robert Lucas Survivors include his loving wife Nancy Little Lucas of Middletown, VA; his children, Ronnie Lucas, Jr. and wife, Melissa of Wardensville, WV, Rhonda Lucas Boyd and husband, Kenny of Front Royal, VA, Susan Lucas Williams and fiancé, Chris Angell of Maurertown, VA, and Darrin Lucas and wife Tammy of Stephens City, VA; one sister, Joyce Mills of Luray, VA; his grandchildren, Jared Lucas, Neal Lucas, Gina Lucas, Michael Boyd and wife, Devin, Shannon Boyd, Kristen Baumann and husband, Josh, Josh Williams, DJ Lucas, Ashley Lucas; step grandchildren, Terry Lindamood, and Mojoe Lindamood; his great grandchildren, Jasmine Baumann, Anthony Baumann, and Jayelan Boyd. A funeral service for Mr. Ronald Franklin Lucas will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, April 8, 2009 at Stover Memorial Chapel with Rev. Timothy Teates officiating. Burial will follow in Reliance Cemetery, Reliance, VA. Pallbearers will be Michael Walker, Michael Boyd, Jared Lucas, DJ Lucas, Chris Angell, Josh Williams, Neal Lucas, and Kenny Boyd. The family will receive friends at Stover Funeral Home on Tuesday evening from 7-9 P.M. Flowers will be accepted or those who wish may make memorial contributions to a charity of ones choice.
