Romettia “Blondie” Fisher 90, a resident of Strasburg, VA passed away September 23, 2021 at Winchester Medical Center.
A funeral service for Blondie will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 2, 2021 at Stover Memorial Chapel with Rev. Keith Warren officiating. Burial will follow in the Lebanon Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Blondie was born October 5, 1930, in the Zepp community of Frederick County, VA a daughter of the late Patrick Lee and Delya Alice Spitler Lofton. She retired from Valley Health where she worked as Nurse Assistant for 30 years. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband William Evan Fishers, Jr.; a son Donald L. Fisher and a brother Oshel Lofton.
Survivors include her children, Patsy Fisher Bly, Robert “Bobby” E. Fisher and Wayne E. Fisher; her grandchildren, Jay Jenkins, Gary Fisher, Alecia Fisher, and Tina Coffman; her great-grandchildren Shyla Fisher, Trevor Fisher, and Zachary Jenkins; her great-great grandchild Brooks Fisher; her siblings Evelyn Hockman and Stephen Lofton along with several nieces, nephews, cousins and her beloved cat Smoky.
