Robert Pratt Taff 86, of Strasburg, VA passed away Thursday, August 4, 2022, at his home.
Services and burial for Mr. Taff will be held privately with Rev. Dan Locke and Rev. Keith Warren officiating.
Mr. Taff was born in Nitro, West Virginia on April 27, 1936, a son of the late Alton Parker and Virginia Burns Taff, Sr. He was a 1954 graduate of Strasburg High School and attended Shepherd College. Bob played football and baseball in both high school and college. He was a high school football referee for 20 years. Bob worked as an explosive engineer for many years, was a strong Christian believer, and would always put on the full armor of God. He was a member of the Emanuel Church at Fishers Hill and attended Liberty Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother Alton Parker Taff, Jr.
Survivors include his wife Arwilda “Trudy” Hamrick Taff; one daughter Tina Taff Neal (Jay); grandsons Matthew Taff Neal (Jennifer), Parker Joseph Neal (Carissa); his great grandsons Acelin Neal and Brooks Neal; his great granddaughters Quinn Neal and Camden Neal; his sister Mary Taff Miller (Mark) along with several nieces and nephews.
The family suggests that expressions of sympathy be in the form of memorial contributions to Emmanuel Church at Fishers Hill P.O. Box 45, Fishers Hill, VA 22626, or Liberty Baptist Church, 29110 Old Valley Pike, Strasburg, VA 22657.
