Obituary
Richard Franklin Strother, age 74, of Basye, VA and formerly of Strasburg, VA passed away Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at his residence.
Services and burial for Mr. Strother will be conducted privately.
Mr. Strother was born in Strasburg, VA on July 31, 1944 a son of the late Matthew Allen and Betty Elizabeth Scott Strother. He was a member of Esbie Baptist Church in Strasburg and worked for National Fruit before his retirement.
Survivors include his children, Richard Franklin Fox and wife Anna-Maria, Kenneth Scott Strother and wife Ariel Leigh, and James Michael Strother; 12 grandchildren and siblings, Billy Allen Strother, Inez Virginia Brown and Randolph Scott Strother along with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
