Reia Ann (Hartsell) Williams

Reia Ann Hartsell Williams 81, a resident of Strasburg, VA passed away Monday, August 9, 2021, at her residence. 

A memorial service for Mrs. Williams will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 12, 2021, at St. Paul Lutheran Church with Rev. Zachariah Harris and Rev. Sonya Williams-Giersch officiating.  

Reia was born in Farmington, WV on September 30, 1939, a daughter of the late Charles William and Joann Whitlatch Hartsell.  She was a 1957 graduate of Strasburg High School and longtime member of St. Paul Lutheran Church where she was active with the hospitality committee and the prayer group. Reia worked as the church secretary for St. Paul Lutheran Church as well as working at Crestliner and as a clerk at the Dollar General in Strasburg.  Reia enjoyed quilting, volunteering at Lydia’s Clothes Closet, being a part of the St. Paul Relay for Life Team.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Thomas “Tom” Williams. 

Survivors include her children Paul Timothy Williams (Carol) of Strasburg, VA and Pam Martz of Woodstock, VA; her grandchildren Paul Tyler Williams (Heather), Stephanie Williams, Turner Martz, and Thomas Martz; one great-grandson, Dylan Williams; one brother Charles William “Billy” Hartsell (Darlene) of PA; special friends Clark and Dorothy Miller of Strasburg, VA, along with numerous in-laws, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
