Rebecca Jane Ritenour, age 79 a resident of Royal Haven Assisted Living and formerly of Strasburg went home to be with the Lord on April 28, 2010 which was also her 46th wedding anniversary. A funeral service for Mrs. Ritenour will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, May 1, 2010 at Stover Memorial Chapel with Pastor William Wood officiating. Burial will follow In St. Stephen Cemetery, Strasburg. She was born in Shenandoah County on May 29, 1930 a daughter of the late Walter "Mart" Jenkins, Sr. and the Reba Rhodes Jenkins. She was a member of the Valley Assembly of God Church in Middletown, VA. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Larry Allen Jenkins, Sr.; three sisters, Ida Mae Jenkins Hepner, Edith Jenkins Miller, and Gloria Jean Jenkins She leaves behind her loving husband of 46 years, Marcus L. Ritenour of Strasburg; two loving daughters, Maxine Shaw and husband, Robert of Maurertown, and Tabitha Robertson and husband, James of Strasburg; two grandsons, Jeremy Shaw and wife, Lisa of Woodstock, VA, Charles Shaw and wife, Christine of Fort Valley; three step-grandsons, Adam Robertson of Portsmouth, Caleb Robertson of Strasburg, and James Robertson, Jr. of Florida; six great grandchildren; three sisters, Shirley Tolbert, June Faye Plaugher, and Darlene Lohr all of Strasburg; two brothers, Walter Jenkins, Jr., and Douglas Jenkins, Jr. both of Strasburg Pallbearers will be Robert Shaw, Charles Shaw, Kevin Jenkins, Sr., Jackie Miller, Jr., James Robertson, and Caleb Robertson.
