Patricia "Patsy" Bromley

Patricia “Patsy” Ann Jennette Bromley 79 of Woodstock, VA passed away Monday, April 18, 2022, at her residence surrounded by her loving family and friends.

A funeral service for Patsy will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 22, 2022, at the St. Luke Brethren Church in Woodstock, VA with Pastor Shawn Garber officiating.  Patsy will be laid to rest in the Jennette Family Cemetery in Buxton, NC.

The family will receive friends at Stover Funeral Home on Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m. 

Patsy was born on February 19, 1943, a daughter of the late Paul Melvin and Gladys Virginia Putman Palmer.  Patsy moved to Cape Hatteras, NC in 1979 and became a member of the Buxton Assembly of God Church for over 15 years where she served as a Sunday school teacher and lead the church music with her beautiful voice.  After returning to Virginia she attended St. Luke Brethren Church.  Patsy always looked forward to all the Putman and Palmer family reunions as they were special times for her.  She loved her family and friends especially her church family.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband and father of her children Darrel Jennette; her husband Louis Pirkey Bromley; brothers Charles M. Palmer, Sr., Ray Palmer; sisters Jane Drummonds, Dorothy L. Welch and husband Kenny;  nieces, Debra K. Clark, Heather Wilkins, and Samantha Green, and a nephew Robbie Smith. 

Survivors include her children Lisa Jennette Stowe of Strasburg, VA, and Lance Jennette of Woodstock; her grandchildren Kelly Stowe, Michael Stowe, Ariel Stowe, Kaleb Spencer, and Grace Martin; 16 great grandchildren;  her step children Paula Bromley, Brian Bromley, and Becky Bromley; her siblings Ida Smith, Roland Palmer both of Strasburg, VA, Fay Schindler of Toms Brook, and Richard Palmer of Stephens City; her sisters-in-law Joan Robinson and Teresa Deaton both of Buxton, NC along with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.  

Pallbearers will be Kevin Smith, Jimmy Green, Keith Drummonds, Bill Drummonds, Timmy Palmer, Michael Palmer, Chris Palmer, Rowland Palmer, and Richard Palmer. 

The family would like to offer a special thank you to Blue Ridge Hospice and her caregiver Susan Goody.
