Patricia "Pat" Eugenia (Ridings) Clem

Patricia “Pat” Eugenia Ridings Clem 89, of Strasburg, VA passed away Tuesday, April 12, 2022, at the Shenandoah Memorial Hospital. 

A funeral service for Mrs. Clem will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Monday, April 18, 2022, at Stover Funeral Home with Rev. Rob Lovett officiating.  Mrs. Clem will be laid to rest beside her husband in the Maurertown Brethren Church Cemetery, Maurertown, VA.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday one hour prior to the service. 

Mrs. Clem was born in Shenandoah County, VA on January 8, 1933, a daughter of the late Noah Jacob and Mabel Lee Kremer Ridings.  She was a lifelong active member of the Strasburg Christian Church.  Pat worked for First Bank in Strasburg from 1960-1998 retiring as a customer service representative.  She was an avid volunteer and supporter of the Strasburg Museum having served as a Director and Treasurer from 1999-2012. Pat was a founding member and treasurer for the Compassionate Cupboard in Strasburg helping form the group in 1989.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Charles Kenneth Clem and siblings Helen Ridings Ratlief, and Lee Ridings. 

Survivors include her sister, Mary Katherine “Kitty” Laudenslager of Pennsylvania; her dear friend and caregiver Dolores Pangle of Strasburg along with several nieces and nephews.  

Pallbearers will be Dennis Ridings, Duane Ridings, Daniel Ridings, Benjamin Ridings, Michael Ridings, and Samuel Ridings. 

Memorials may be made to Strasburg Christian Church, 165 High Street, Strasburg, VA 22657, or your local SPCA.
