Mylea Lyn Wade 54 of Strasburg, VA, passed away on Friday, August 12, 2022, of natural causes.
A memorial is being planned for a later date to be announced.
Mylea was born on March 1, 1968, in Puyallup, WA, the daughter of Karen and Bill Wade. She spent her early years accompanying her parents who worked in a number of national parks throughout the country. She attended primary and secondary school in Reston, Virginia moving to Woodstock for her senior year. Subsequently she completed an undergraduate degree at George Mason University. Her work experience following high school and for the remaining
years of her life was primarily centered in the Woodstock/Front Royal area. An exception was the rather lengthy period of time that she served working in various capacities for the National Association for Search and Rescue, supporting organizations across the country “That Others May Live.”
She is survived by her parents, Karen and Bill; her brother Mike; sister-in-law Beth; niece Jessica Boeker and 3 great nieces of Front Royal; and partner Cliff Brill of Star Tannery.
