Mary Spiker Rudolph, age 85, a resident of Strasburg, VA passed away Sunday, November 25, 2012 at Winchester Medical Center. A funeral service for Mrs. Rudolph will be conducted at 2:00P.M. Thursday, November 29, 2012 at Grace United Methodist Church, Middletown, VA, conducted by her grandchildren. Burial will follow in Lebanon Church Cemetery. She was born in Shenandoah County, VA on September 16, 1927 a daughter of the late Preston Isaiah and Anna Virginia Wymer Spiker. She was the wife of the late James Kenneth Rudolph, Sr. In addition to her parents and husband she was predeceased in death by a brother Earl "Sam" Spiker, grandson Kirk Emmart, and great-grandson Patrick Rudolph-Dawson. Survivors include her daughters Betty Pittman and husband Wally of Middletown, Joyce McMillen and husband John of Broadway; her sons Jim Rudolph of Strasburg, John Rudolph and wife Mary of Middletown. 13 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren; sisters, Mae Miller and husband Robert, Gladys and husband, the late Cecil Ritenour, Rebecca Hoover, Juanita Watts and husband Jennings, Esther Cooper and husband Bill and her brother, Roland Spiker and wife Sylvia. Mrs. Rudolph's grandsons will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at Stover Funeral Home on Wednesday evening from 7- 9 P.M.
