Martha Anne Angle

Martha Anne White Angle, 79, of Strasburg, VA graced heaven with her presence on Thursday, April 13, 2023, after a lengthy illness associated with COPD.

A celebration of life service for Martha Anne is being planned for a later date to be announced.

Martha Anne was born in Takoma Park, Maryland on July 9, 1943, the daughter of the late Floyd Ettore and Elsie Victoria Vickers White.  Martha Anne was raised in Northern Virginia and was a 1962 graduate of Annandale High School.  Her family moved to Annandale, VA where she worked as a cosmetologist.  It was there she met Gates C. Angle, Jr.  They married in 1964 and raised two boys, Brian Craig Angle and David Wayne Angle.  The Angle family moved to Dale City, VA where both boys were educated.  Martha Anne was a homemaker committed to the needs of her children and the military career of her husband, ensuring that her children were involved in learning, outside activities and establishing friends.  After Gates retired, she and her husband relocated to Strasburg, VA to care for her mother until her passing.  They started a pet sitting business that covered four states.  Martha Anne volunteered to work with the Strasburg Dog Park Committee and saw Strasburg’s first dog park dedicated and open to her four-legged friends.  Her love for animals was known to all.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother Paul White.

Survivors include her husband Gates Angle, Jr. of Strasburg, VA; her two sons Brian Angle of Woodstock, VA and David Angle of Richmond, VA; her stepchildren Terry Angle of Jurupa Valley, CA and Kathey Nestor of Phoenix City, AL; her granddaughter Erin Livingstone of Columbia, MD; four great-grandchildren; two sisters Linda Gibson of Warrenton, VA and Janice Moton of Woodstock, VA.
