Obituary

Marie Stickley Windle, 89, formerly of Strasburg, VA passed away Wednesday, August 23, 2023, in Havre de Grace, Maryland.

A funeral service for Mrs. Windle will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 31, 2023, at Stover Funeral Home with Rev. Keith Warren officiating. Entombment will follow at Panorama Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends at Stover Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 30, 2023, from 6-8 p.m.

Mrs. Windle was born in Strasburg, VA on May 30, 1934, a daughter of the late Preston Albert and Emma Lorraine Barb Stickley. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Robert Edward Windle; two children Brenda Windle and Michael Windle and siblings Buryl Stickley, Virgil Stickley, Ann McGraw, S.A. “Al” Stickley, and Beverly Stickley.

Survivors include her children Buryl Windle, Larry Windle (Debbie) and Robert Windle (Deanna); 13 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren along with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Pallbearers will be Robert Windle, Daniel Windle, Buryl Windle, Stephen Windle, Jimmy Strother, and Kenny Strother.
