Louis Joseph Vidunas, 87, died peacefully on Wednesday, July 29th in Strasburg, VA. Born in Plaines, Pa, he was the son of Louis and Frances Vidunas. He graduated from Kingston High School in 1945 and served in the Navy during WW II. On November 23, 1950 he married Agnes Demko. He is survived by his three children: Louis Vidunas and wife Barbara, Catherine Glick and husband Barry, and Maryann Lostaglio and husband John. He has seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He devoted himself to his family always being there to help no matter what the circumstances. He was proud of his humble beginnings as a "1st Warder" in Kingston Pa. He was a master of clambakes, playing "cinch" and "poor house", leader of the local Poughkeepsie Lithuanian club and a diehard Willie Nelson fan. He enjoyed a 35 year career with IBM. Dad was noted for his great people skills which were a key to his successful business career retiring as a 3rd level manager. Dad was also very involved with his church as an active member of both the Holy Name Society and the Knights of Columbus. The family would like to thank Greenfield Reflections and Hospice Care in Strasburg. A Funeral Mass for Mr. Vidunas will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, August 6, 2015 at the St. Bernadette Catholic Church, 1005 Wilbon Road, Fuquay Varina, North Carolina 27526. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to a local Knights of Columbus or local Food Bank.
