Linda Nelverta Belcher

Linda Nelverta Belcher, 82, of Woodstock, VA passed away Monday, March 3, 2025, at the Blue Ridge Hospice Inpatient Care Center, Winchester, VA.

Linda was born in Leesburg, VA on December 17, 1942, a daughter of the late Corbin Arthur and Georgia Nelverta Long Thompson.  She was a volunteer EMT with Nokesville Fire Department Co. 5, formerly worked for Contel Telephone and ran Budget Host Inn in Woodstock, VA for several years.  Linda also worked as a Dietary Specialist at Shenandoah Memorial Hospital and the Edinburg Flea Market.  She and her late husband enjoyed eating at Ben’s Diner in Woodstock.  She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great and great-great grandmother who will remain forever in the hearts of her family and her many friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Raymond Elwood Belcher; a son Brian Christopher Belcher; a granddaughter Charlotte Belcher, and a brother Corbin Brutus Thompson.

Survivors include her children Teresa Marie Conner and Renee Elizabeth Pearson; her grandchildren Kimberly, Christina, Zachary, Nicole, and Nick; her great grandchildren Destiny, Corbin, Ashley, Josh, Ben, Liam, Ivy, Sage, and Olive; her great-great grandchildren Guillermo, Ava, and Matthew along with her sister Mary Louise Dempsey.

A celebration of life for Linda is being planned for a later date to be announced.
