Larry Lambert Obituary

Larry Wilson Lambert, 76, passed away Wednesday October 13th  surrounded by his family. 

A memorial service for Mr. Lambert will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Monday, October 18, 2021, at Liberty Baptist Church, 29110 Old Valley Pike, Strasburg, Va. with Rev. Keith Warren officiating. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.

Larry was born in Woodstock, Virginia to parents Lawrence and Lucille Lambert. He graduated in 1963 from Central High School, Woodstock, Virginia. He attended Richmond Professional Institute, now VCU, in 1965.  He was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served from 1966-1968 where he was stationed in Germany. He loved history, particularly the Civil War, family genealogy, reading, and spending time with his family. He was an avid Washington Redskins fan, Virginia Defense Force member, and loving husband, father, brother, friend and Dadoo.  He was a father to so many neighborhood children, coached two decades of little league teams, and truly never met a stranger.  He is proceeded in death by his parents Lawrence and Lucille, and his brother Gary. 

He is survived by his wife Jane; brother Terry; son Mike and daughter-in-law Karen; daughter Melanie and son-in-law Ryan; grandson Davis and granddaughter-in-law Colleen; granddaughter Haley and grandson-in-law Coty and 6 fur grandbabies Ziva, Pudge, Roscoe, Maxx, Tyr, and Ingrid. His smile was infectious, his hugs always tight and loving, and he will forever be missed and remembered for the truly phenomenal man that he was.
