Keith V. Funk, age 73, of Strasburg, passed Wednesday, July 8, 2015. A memorial service for Mr. Funk will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, July 16, 2015 at Stover Memorial Chapel with John Bost officiating. He was born on May 9, 1942 a son of the late William Vernon and Lucy Catherine Funk, Sr. He was retired from Riverton Corp. where he worked for many years. Mr. Funk was a generous, kindhearted, compassionate, hardworking, honest person who would help anyone and did. He never met a stranger and was an avid outdoorsman. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Lloyd St John Funk, and William Vernon Funk, Jr. Survivors include his loving wife of 53 years, Margaret Ann Drummond Funk of Strasburg; one son, Paul Vance Funk of Stephens City, VA; two daughters, June Marie Funk Symons, and Kimberly Ann Funk Cook and fiancée Randy all of Strasburg, VA; Grandchildren, Kristine Stubbs, Kevin Welsh, Melissa Welsh, Edward Cook, Jr., Justin Cook, Jessica Funk and Gabrielle Funk; great-grandchildren, Ryan Stubbs, Christopher Stubbs, Joshua Welsh, Summer Welsh, and Autumn Welsh; siblings, Janet Marotta and husband Sal of Fort Myers, FL, Homer Ivan Funk and wife, Edna of Front Royal, VA, David Franklin Funk and companion, Peggy of Fort Valley, Grayson Funk and wife, Sandi of Fort Valley, and Rebecca F. Madigan of Woodstock, VA; numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at Stover Funeral Home on Thursday one hour prior to the service.
