Katheryn B. Neal Katheryn "Kate" Ellen Boyer Neal, age 96, of Strasburg passed away Saturday, March 9, 2013 at her home. A funeral service will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, March 13, 2013 at the Strasburg Christian Church with Rev. Geneal Wilson officiating. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery, Strasburg. Mrs. Neal was born August 13, 1916, a daughter of the late Robert Benton and Minnie Catherine Bly Boyer. She was a lifetime member of the Strasburg Christian Church where she was a member of the Willing Workers Sunday School Class, the Christian Women Fellowship and the Homemakers Demonstration Club. She was a homemaker who enjoyed cooking and gardening. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roy O. Neal, Sr.; two brothers, Jake Boyer and Barney Boyer; two sisters, Alice Pearson and Julia Boyer. Survivors include two sons, Paul Robert Neal and wife, Michal Ann of Fredericksburg, VA and Roy O. "Fuzzy" Neal, Jr. and wife, Tammy of Toms Brook, VA; one sister, Thelma Pingley of Front Royal, VA; one brother, Jack Boyer and wife, Beverly of Strasburg, VA; six grandchildren, Chad Neal, Brad Neal, Scott Neal, Jennifer Neal, Gregory Neal and Cody Neal; ten great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Chad Neal, Brad Neal, Cody Neal, Jennifer Neal, Nathan Williams, Sean Dempsey and Samuel Dempsey. Honorary pallbearers will be her Caregivers, Sue Garrett, Sabre McWilliams and Sis Clark.
