Judy Rinker

Judy Katherine Rinker, 71, of Strasburg, VA passed away Monday, June 19, 2023, at her home in Strasburg.

A funeral service for Judy will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 24, 2023, at Strasburg Christian Church with Rev. Rob Lovett officiating.  Burial will follow in Riverview Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Stover Funeral Home on Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. 

Judy was born in Shenandoah County, Virginia on June 4, 1952, a daughter of the late Roy and Hilda Katherine Kronk Neff.  She was a member of Strasburg Christian Church and a 1970 graduate of Strasburg High School.  She was named the 1st outstanding Graduate of Lord Fairfax Community College.  Judy was active with the 4-H as a youth and served as a 4-H leader for 20 years and was a 4-H All-Star.  Judy retired from Lord Fairfax Community College as an Administrative Assistant with 32 years of service.  She served as Youth Choir Director at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Toms Brook, as well as Emmanuel Church at Fishers Hill and Strasburg Christian Church.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister Phyllis Himelright.

Survivors include her husband Richard R. Rinker; her children Russell R. Rinker (Joan Cooper) and Kelly Cauthorn (Ben); 11 grandchildren; one sister Debbie Pirtle (Jimmy).

In lieu of flowers the family suggests that expressions of sympathy be in the form of memorial contributions to the Strasburg Christian Church, Blue Ridge Hospice, Shenandoah County Humane Society, or Compassion Cupboard.
