Jonathan Eugene Henson

Jonathan Eugene Henson, 34, of Norfolk, VA formerly of Middletown passed away Tuesday, October 14, 2025 at his home in Norfolk, VA.
 
Jon was born on August 16, 1991, the son of Douglas & Theresa Henson.  He graduated from Old Dominion University in May and was accepted into the master’s program to begin in January 2026.   We remember Jon as a selfless soul who never met a stranger and welcomed everyone with warmth and kindness. He faced life with quiet resilience, unwavering perseverance, and a deep acceptance of whatever came his way. His love for family, friends, animals, and music was the heart of who he was. Though he is no longer with us, the love he gave and the life he lived will forever echo in the hearts he touched.

Survivors include his parents Douglas & Theresa Henson of Middletown, VA; his siblings, Heidi Moran and husband Jeremy of Stafford, VA, Mary Ellen Henson  and significant other Jacob Aanderud) of Charlotte, NC; Jon’s significant other Christine Magee of Norfolk, VA; his "ride or dies" Derek, Katie, and Russell Henson. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and pups. 

The family has requested privacy at this time. An intimate celebration of life will be held at a later date and time.
