John Allen Hamman

John Allen “Johnny” Hamman 72 of Strasburg, VA passed away Monday, February 6, 2023.

A graveside service for Mr. Hamman will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Monday, February 13, 2023 at St. Stephen Cemetery with Rev. Linda Breeden officiating.  

Johnny was born in Winchester, VA on January 2, 1951, a son of the late Charles Franklin Hamman, Jr. and the late Annabelle Virginia Miller Hamman.  Mr. Hamman retired from Perry Judd in Strasburg where he worked as an operator for over 33 years.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Stephanie Ann Stickley Hamman; a son Shane Lee Hamman and a sister Anna Lee Rutz.  

Survivors include his children Derek Hamman and Amber Dawn Hamman; his grandchildren Devin, Austin, Seth, Shanya, Shyann, and Drexton; several great-grandchildren; his siblings Michael Hamman and Connie Orebaugh along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Flowers will be accepted or those who wish may make memorial contributions to Alzheimer’s Association (for Dementia Research), 225 N. Michigan Ave., Fl. 17, Chicago, IL 60601.
