Jerrol E. Shipe, Sr.

Jerrol E. “Eddie” Shipe, Sr. 80, of Strasburg, VA passed away Saturday, July 26, 2025, at his residence surrounded by his loving family.

Mr. Shipe was born in Winchester, VA on May 19, 1945, to the late Elsie Johnson Shipe. Mr. Shipe retired from General Electric after 30 years of service. He enjoyed hunting and watching NASCAR, as well as the Dallas cowboys.

Survivors include his sons Jerrol E. Shipe, II, Christopher M. Shipe, Jerry L. Shipe; his siblings Robert L. Shipe (Shirley), Charles W. Shipe, Elsie Alene Larnish; his grandsons Tyler Scott, and Jerrol Shipe III.

At the request of Mr. Shipe all services and burial will be held privately. 

The family suggests that expression of sympathy be in the form of memorial contributions to Fort Valley Fire Dept., 7088 Fort Valley Road, Fort Valley, VA 22652.
