Jeannette Maureen James

Jeannette Maureen James, 59, of Strasburg, VA passed away on Thursday, January 2, 2025, at Evergreen Health and Rehab Center with her family by her side in Winchester, VA.

Ms. James was born in Arlington, VA on December 12, 1965, the daughter of Patricia Ann Adams James and the late Earl J. James. Ms. James graduated from Fairfax High School in the class of 1984. She went on to be an accountant business specialist for many years. Among her favorite pass times were camping on beach in an RV and riding Harley Davidson motor cycles along the country side. She also enjoyed cooking and baking for the family. Her pancakes and monkey bread were favorites of her children and grandchildren.  Elvis and listing to his  music often. Her beloved boxers, JJ, and Jax were very special to her. She will be missed by all.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her children Christopher Michael Sanford (Amanda) and Courtney Danielle Sanford, her mother Patricia Ann James, four grandchildren Carmen Sanford, Ethan Sanford, Dayshawn Haley, Inez Haley, brother Brian James (Joanne), her niece Brooke James, nephew Evan James, along with other relatives and friends.  

A celebration of life for Ms. James will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 10, 2025, at Stover Funeral Home.  Entombment will follow in the Panorama Memorial Gardens in Strasburg, VA. Pastor Keith Warren officiating.  Family will receive friends from one hour prior until service time at the funeral home.
