Janice Marie (White) Moton

Janice Marie Moton, 79, of Woodstock, VA passed away Sunday, January 11, 2026, at Woodstock Valley Health and Rehab in Woodstock, VA.

Mrs. Moton was born in Rochester, NY on February 13, 1946, a daughter of the late Floyd Ettore and Elsie Victoria Vickers White. Mrs. Moton was the loving wife of the late John Franklin Moton, Jr.  She worked in the healthcare industry for many years home health aide. Mrs. Moton loved to craft, garden, and had a love for all animals, especially dogs and cats.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband John Franklin Moton, Jr.  and her siblings Martha Angle and Paul White.

Survivors include her children Janine Pendleton, and John Daniel Moton (Debbie); her grandchildren Chelsea Jernigan and Jay Jerome Pendleton, Jr.; her sister Linda Gibson (Phillip); her brother-in-law Gates Angle; and several nieces, nephews.

Mrs. Moton’s family will plan a memorial service at a later date.

The family suggests that expressions of sympathy be in the form of memorial contributions to McInturff cemetery care fund, Attn: Laurie Kadel, 1238 South Fort Valley Rd, Fort Valley VA, 22652.
