Jane Wymer Miller

Jane Wymer Miller 75 of Strasburg, VA passed Wednesday, December 21, 2022, at Winchester Medical Center. 

A celebration of life and homegoing service for Jane will be held at 7:00 p.m. Friday, December 30, 2022, at Stover Funeral Home with Rev. James D. Miller officiating.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. 

Jane was born in Woodstock, VA on November 21, 1947, the daughter of Louise Elizabeth Wymer. Jane was an ordained minister who supported her husband in ministry for 27 years at the Church at Waterlick where they also hosted the Shenandoah Valley Singing Convention for 16 years.  Jane grew up in the Meadow Mills Church of the Brethren in Middletown, VA and recently attended Abundant Life Church supporting her grandson, Austin.  She also worked as a waitress at the local Hi Neighbor Restaurant for over 20 years.  She had a servant’s heart and a compassion for helping others.  Jane loved her family dearly, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.  

In addition to her mother Louise E. Wymer, she is survived by her beloved husband of 60 years Larry K. Miller, Sr. of Strasburg, VA; her two sons Larry K. Miller, Jr. (Karen) of Strasburg, VA, and James D. “Jimmy” Miller (Sandra) of Highview, WV; her grandchildren James D. Miller, II (Hannah), Christopher D. Miller (Georgia), and Austin C. Miller (Adrienne); her great-grandchildren Astrid and Osric. 

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that expressions of sympathy be in the form of memorial contributions to the Strasburg Vol. Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 620, Strasburg, VA 22657.
