James Taylor Wasson 59 of Stephens City, VA passed away Saturday, March 28, 2020 at the Blue Ridge Hospice In-Patient Care Center, Winchester, VA.
Services for Mr. Wasson will be conducted privately, and a celebration of life is being planned at a later date to be announced.
Mr. Wasson was born in Martinsburg, WV on August 13, 1960 son of the late James Bernard and Rebecca Ann Harrison Wasson, Jr. Jim was a member of Strasburg United Methodist Church and worked as a bus driver for the Berkeley County Public School system and the WinTran City transit of Winchester, VA. Jim was a Sunday school teacher, former volunteer fire fighter, Berkeley County little league coach, member of the Eastern Panhandle Officials Association and loved to hunt and fish.
Survivors include his wife Cynthia Ruffner Wasson of Stephens City, VA; his children Whitney Blake Fraley of Martinsburg, WV, Taylor Joseph Wasson (Sara) of Martinsburg, WV and Leslie Erin Church of Charleston, SC; grandchildren Dominic Fraley, Adelyn Wasson , Olivia Clark and Cash Clark; his sister, Deborah Walker (Daniel) of Martinsburg, WV; step-mother, Phyllis Skelly Wasson of Martinsburg, WV; mother-in-law Lura Joyce Ruffner; niece Emily Brooke Walker and brother-in-law John Adam Ruffner
