Jack Jenkins

Jack Gordon Jenkins, 96, of Strasburg, VA passed away Sunday, June 23, 2024, at Evergreen Health and Rehab Center, Winchester, VA.

Mr. Jenkins was born in Washington DC on November 5, 1927, a son of the late Winifred Rebecca Jenkins.  He was a graduate of Strasburg High School and Strayer Business College, and a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp.  Mr. Jenkins retired from Midwesco Filter Resources in Winchester where he worked as a Supervisor.  He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and served as an usher.  Mr. Jenkins loved woodworking, caring for his yard and was a longtime volunteer for the Compassion Cupboard in Strasburg.   In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by brother and sister in laws Harry and Ann Keller, Frederick and Evelyn Keller and James Pomeroy, Jr. 

Survivors include his loving wife Dorothy Keller Jenkins; sister-in-law Katherine Keller Pomeroy; nephews Pete Pomeroy (Jackie), George Mark Keller (Cheri), and Andrew Clark Keller (Crystal); great nephews Jeremy Spiker, Brandon Keller, and Cody Pomeroy along with several great-great nephews and nieces.  

A graveside service for Mr. Jenkins will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 1, 2024, at Riverview Cemetery with Rev. Sonya Williams-Giersch officiating.
