Ida Strosnider

Ida Bly “Sissy” Strosnider, 87, of Strasburg, VA passed away Monday, December 8, 2025, at The Warren in Woodstock, VA. 

Mrs. Strosnider was born in Strasburg, VA on September 23, 1938, a daughter of the late Cecil Warner and Bernice Wingate Nitterhouse Bly.  She was a member of Strasburg Christian Church where she worked as the custodian for many years.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Clark Eugene Strosnider; a daughter-in-law Rita Strosnider; a grandson Jeremy Cook and siblings Richard Bly, Donald Bly, Vivian Hoffman, Shirley Spiker, and Cecil W. Bly, Jr.

Survivors include her children Jeffrey Strosnider (Sherry) and Cindy Cook (Randy); her grandchildren James Strosnider (Heather), and Collin Cook; her great-grandchildren Olivia, Bryce, Harrison, Bristol Strosnider, and Corbin Cook; a sister-in-law Lorraine Bly and her aunt Ethel Bly along with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. 

A graveside service for Mrs. Strosnider will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 15, 2025, at Panorama Memorial Gardens with Pastor Bobby Funkhouser officiating.
