Henry H. Himelright, Jr.

Henry Himelright, Jr. 75 a resident of Strasburg, VA passed away Tuesday, February 14, 2023 at his home in Strasburg.

A funeral service for Mr. Himelright will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 21, 2023 at the Strasburg Christian Church with Rev. Rob Lovett officiating.  Burial will follow in Riverview Cemetery. 

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday.

Henry was born in Winchester, VA on June 24, 1947, a son of the late Henry Hopewell Himelright, Sr., and the late Juanita Elizabeth Hamman Himelright.  He was a 1965 graduate of Strasburg High School, and proudly served his country with the U.S. Air Force. Henry was a member of the Strasburg Christian Church where he served as a Deacon and an Elder. He retired from Winchester Printers where he worked as a salesman.  Henry served on the Strasburg Town Council and was formerly named Citizen of the Year by the Strasburg Chamber of Commerce.  He served and held numerous officer positions with local civic organizations in the community.  

Survivors include his wife Donna Ratlief Himelright of Strasburg, VA; his two aunts Genevieve Reger, and Lilly Zirkle; his brother and sister-in-law George W. Ratlief and wife Carolyn; several cousins, nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great nephews. 

The pallbearers will be Brian W. Ratlief, Rick Rinker, Kevin Weatherholtz, Dennis Ridings, Duane Ridings, and Gerald “Fuzzy” Gochenour. 

Ricky Wilson will serve as an honorary pallbearer.
