Gerald "Mike" Braden Hildenbrand

Gerald Hildenbrand, known to all as Mike, passed on to his eternal reward on December 3, 2023.  He was surrounded by family at the time of his passing. 

Mike’s life will be celebrated by family and friends at The Church of Jesus Christ in Herndon, VA at a later date.

Mike was born in Jeannette, PA on January 10, 1946, where he spent his youth and eventually met his wife, Patty Swanger, in the neighboring town of Greensburg.  They married in 1964 and began their life together.  Mike was an avid hunter and fisherman who enjoyed spending time outdoors soaking in the beauty of nature.  His favorite place was the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia where he was surrounded by the mountains and the Shenandoah River.  As children, we would often joke that we couldn’t go anywhere with Dad without it turning into a joyride through the country.

Mike was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ, where he was a minister.  He enjoyed speaking to people of Christ’s love and blessing for everyone.  

Mike is survived by his wife, Patty; son Jerry (Terry); daughter Chelle (Jim) and Jennie (Jose) as well as grandchildren, great-grandchildren, brothers, and extended family.
