George Hall Fraley of Strasburg, Virginia passed away on Tuesday, June 21, 2016. He was born in High Point, NC on March 21, 1930, son of the late John Adam and Mary Hall Fraley. He was a founding member of Grace Evangelical Free Church in Strasburg, VA. He was ordained into ministry by Pilgram Holiness Church and received a Bachelor of Divinity from Southern Wesleyan University of Greensboro, NC. He was a pastor for 60 years starting 6 various churches in Virginia, New Jersey, North Carolina and Florida. Most recently Wesleyan Fellowship Church in Winchester, VA where he pastored for 20 years. He also worked for various contractors for the United States government. He served in the United States Army from 1948-1950. Survived by his wife, Linda Amtower Stickley Fraley, whom he married May 1, 1980 at Old Stone Church in Frederick County, VA. His daughters Mary S. Anderson of Norcross, GA and Margaret Wiley of Highlands Park, CO, a son Kenneth Fraley of Lebanon, TN, step daughter Andrea Tucker of Strasburg, VA, step son Allan Anderson of Winchester, VA, a sister Annie Lou Cox of Richfield, NC, brothers Billy Jo (Jake) of Rockwell, NC and Buford (Hamp) of Richfield, NC, seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brother John Adam of Rockwell, NC. Services for Mr. Fraley are private. Memorial contributions may be made to the Blue Ridge Hospice, 333 West Cork Street, Winchester, VA 22601.
