George Romeo Beauchesne

George Romeo Beauchesne, 89, of Strasburg, VA passed away Wednesday, April 30, 2025, at Shenandoah Senior Living, Front Royal, VA.

Mr. Beauchesne was born in Manchester, New Hampshire on October 8, 1935, son of the late Arthur Joseph and Lucienne Demers Beauchesne.  He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, member of Lebanon Lutheran Church, Spurmont Lodge No 98, AF & AM, and was a retired police officer in Washington D.C.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five siblings, being the last living member of his immediate family. 

Survivors include his wife Rose Elizabeth Leonard Beauchesne of Strasburg, VA; his stepchildren Patricia Mendez and Warren Hastings; his grandchildren Ramage Marzden, Jessica Behr, and Melinda Preston; his nephews David Verteramo, Raymond Beauchesne, Richard Beauchesne; his niece Cathie Morris along with several cousins. 

A funeral service for Mr. Beauchesne will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 6, 2025, at Stover Funeral Home with Rev. Christopher Porter officiating. Masonic rites will be presented by Spurmont Lodge No 98, AF & AM.  Military honors will be presented by Shenandoah American Legion Post 77, Strasburg, VA.  A graveside service and burial will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery, 16513 Waterfall Road, Haymarket, VA 20169.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday at Stover Funeral Home one hour prior to the service.
