Gary Stephen Gleaton

Gary Stephen Gleaton, 74, from Hedgesville, WV, formerly of Strasburg, VA, passed away on Monday, September 15, 2025, peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family.

Gary was a loving family man known for his great sense of humor.  He was an avid football and baseball fan, especially the Dallas Cowboys and Yankees. He had many friends who will deeply miss spending time and sharing interests with Gary. He was preceded in death by his parents Cecil and Geneva (Peggy) Gleaton and a brother John Gleaton.

Gary is survived by his beloved wife, Donna Gleaton (Rinker); one daughter: Jacinda Mattson and husband Chad; three grandsons Ayden, Camden, and Braxden; one brother Ricky Bowley and wife Tara; one sister Amanda Hoffman and husband Robert; a sister-in-law Paula Gleaton along with several other family members from the Strasburg community.

A memorial service will be held at Stover Funeral Home with a date to be announced when plans are finalized.
