Faye Lichliter Boyer

Faye Lichliter Boyer, 84 of Strasburg died Wednesday, July 5, 2023 in Alleghany Health and Rehab in Clifton Forge, VA.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, July 12, 2023, 6-8:00 p.m. at  Stover Funeral Home.  A service will be scheduled at a later date.

She was born June 24, 1939 in Winchester, VA the daughter of the late Maynard and Emma Elbon Lichliter.  She was preceded in death by her husband Edward Marshall Boyer, a son Jason E. Boyer and her siblings Marvin Lichliter and Helen Hockman.

She was married to Edward Marshall Boyer for 64 years.  Professionally, she worked for Shenandoah Public Schools as a bus driver and a teacher’s aide.  She was a member of Walnut Springs Christian Church and the Homemakers Association.  Her hobbies included Tole painting, basket making, baking, and cooking.  She loved to read and would regularly read 100 books per year. 

She is survived by her children, Elizabeth Pruitt of Toms Brook, John Boyer of Fisher’s Hill, and Jimmy Boyer and his wife, Dee of Woodstock; grandchildren, Chad, and Cody Pruitt; Ashlee Couch, Lauren and Wyatt Boyer; and two great-grandchildren, Skylar and Damen Pruitt and her sister Sue Drummond.
