Edna Pauline Parks McAfee, age 89, of Toms Brook passed away, Saturday, March 31, 2018 at Winchester Medical Center.

A celebration of her life will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 7, 2018 at Reliance United Methodist Church with Rev. Richard McDowell officiating. Burial will be at a later date at Culpeper National Cemetery.

Mrs. McAfee was born November 22, 1928 in Greenwood, Nebraska, a daughter of the late Leo Dewey and Amy Hammer Parks. She was a member of Reliance United Methodist Church, was a retired realtor, homemaker, wife and mother. She was a volunteer for the Society of St. Andrew, volunteer for Heifer International, had a ministry at the former Shenandoah County Jail, and had been a bell ringer for the Salvation Army, a volunteer at the food pantry having a ministry for the children while their parents were being taken care of by providing coloring books, and other supplies. She was a co-founder of Woodstock United Methodist Church Pre-school/Child Care Center and was very proud of being a servant to others.

Surviving are her beloved husband, Darwin Lee McAfee; her children, Kerri L. McAfee of Front Royal, Kevin E. McAfee and wife, Kimberly of Butler, PA, Lee McAfee and wife, Sara of Linden and Kristin E. Cederborg of Shepardstown, WV; two sisters, Doris Schneider of Ashland, Nebraska and Faye Fleeman of Hawthorne, CA; four grandchildren, Sarah McAfee, Emma Vioral and husband, Kyle, Aaron McAfee and Jordan Saylards.

The family will receive friends at Stover Funeral Home, 177 No. Holliday St., Strasburg on Friday from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m..
