Edna Louise Kohne Brown age 84, a resident of Strasburg passed away Tuesday, May 08, 2012 at Shenandoah Memorial Hospital. A funeral service for Mrs. Brown will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Friday, May 11, 2012 at Mt. Hope Presbyterian Church with Pastor David Duckworth officiating. Burial will follow in Lebanon Church Cemetery. She was born on March 23, 1928 a daughter of the late Alvin Peter & Nellie Bageant Kohne. She was a member of Mt. Hope Presbyterian Church and was the widow of the late Loring Crawford Brown. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a daughter, Bonnie Brown Dellinger and a granddaughter, Crystal Dawn Bly Shanholtz; brother, Arnold Kohne and a sister Virginia Morris. Survivors include her children, Maxine Brown Caperton, Ronnie E. Brown and wife, Lisa, Debbie B. Bly and husband, Gary all of Strasburg, Holly D. Payne of Stephens City and William "Jeff" Brown and wife, Brenda of Strasburg; grandchildren Kelly Sager, Wendy Dellinger, Josh Shell, Melissa Brown, Katie Brown, Chad Bly, Jeremy Payne, Zack Payne, Ashley Brown, Michael Seal and Lisa Seal; eleven great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter; a sister, Bertha LaRue of Winchester; numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Gene McDonald, Robert Brown, Rick Brown, Scott McDonald, Darrell Hamm, Doug Lowell, and Charley Sydnor.
