Dwight Kinkel Obituary

Dwight Charles Kinkel, 63, of Maurertown, VA passed away Monday, February 10, 2025, at his residence. 

Dwight was born in Sacramento, California on November 8, 1961, a son of the late Henry Charles and Rose Marie Otlo Kinkel.  He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, and avid bowler, and member of the Maur-Brook-Olive Ruritan Club where he served as President. 

Survivors include a special niece Jessica Jones (Mikey); nephew Edward Kinkel, Jr.; niece Crystal Collins; great nephews and nieces Chandler, Mason, Gavin, Nathan, Korbin, Johnathan, Joseph, Tensley and Maddisen; two brothers Albert Charles Kinkel and Edward John Kinkel along with special friends Ray and Tracey Heishman and their daughter Tiffany Zirkle (Levi). 

A memorial service for Dwight will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 22, 2025, at Stover Funeral Home with Rev. Sonya Williams-Giersch officiating.  Burial will follow in St. Stephen Cemetery with full military honors given by Shenandoah American Legion Post 77, Strasburg.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday one hour prior to the service. 

The family suggests expressions of sympathy be in the form of memorial contributions to Blue Ridge Hospice, 333 W. Cork St., Winchester, VA 22601.
