Dorothy Louise (Stickley) Miller

Dorothy Louise Stickley Miller, 85, of Strasburg, VA passed away Saturday, September 28, 2024, at her residence in Strasburg.

Mrs. Miller was born in Strasburg, VA on February 20, 1939, a daughter of the late Donald Smith Stickley Sr. and Charlotte Mae Norbeck Stickley. She was a graduate of the class of 1957 with Strasburg High School, a member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Strasburg, employed by Vaughan’s Drug Store, People’s Drug Store, Aileen Inc., and Shen. Valley Press.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Miller is preceded in death by her brothers John Louis Stickley and Donald Smith Stickley, Jr.

Survivors include her husband and best friend for 66 years, Clark Gable Miller of Strasburg, VA; her children Tarilyn S. Racey (Wayne), of Strasburg, VA, Tracie A. Miller (John) of Strasburg, VA, Marshall A. Miller (Kris) of Manchester, TN; four grandchildren Marielle Fusaro (Andrew), Brannon Racey (Leah), Austin Daniel Miller, Molly Margaret Miller; ten great grandchildren along with numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.  

A funeral service will be conducted on Friday, October 4, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church Strasburg, VA. with Rev. Chris Flohr and Rev. Sonya Williams-Giersch officiating.  Burial will follow in the Riverview Cemetery in Strasburg, VA.

The family will receive friends at Stover Funeral Home on Thursday, October 3, 2024, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.

Pallbearers will be Brannon Racey, Austin Miller, Andrew Fusaro, Jaxton Fusaro, Jude Fusaro, and Roger Manuel.

The family asks that expressions of sympathy be in the form of memorial contributions to St. Paul Lutheran Church, c/o of Luke’s Backpack 193 W. Washington St., Strasburg, VA 22657.
