Donna V. Miles

Donna Vee Parsons Miles, age 95 of Toms Brook passed away Wednesday, March 19, 2014 at Greenfield Senior Living, Strasburg.

A funeral service will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 22nd at Stover Memorial Chapel, Strasburg with Rev. Wendell M. Schurtz, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Riverview Cemetery, Strasburg.

Mrs. Miles was born April 26, 1918 in Gideon, Missouri, a daughter of the late Jesse Mathew and Iva Lee Billington Conyers. She was a homemaker and the wife of the late Thomas C. Parsons, Sr. and Warren D. Miles, Sr.

Surviving are her children; Virginia Lee Woods and husband, Bruce of Gordonsville, Virginia, Thomas C. Parsons, Jr. and wife, Dorothy of Charlotte Hall, Maryland, Beverly Sams and husband, Dewey of Cross Junction, Virginia William K. Parsons and wife, Brenda of Toms Brook, Linda Johnston and husband, Merle of Tavares, Florida and Mary Freeman and husband, Greg of Woodstock, Georgia; sixteen grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by two daughters, Sandra Parsons and Robin Parsons.

Pallbearers will be Robert Pound, Shane Parsons, Keith Parsons, April Pridemore, Rachel Pound and Eric Elkins.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 12 Noon till service time.
