Donald Ray Walters

Donald Ray Walters, 93, of Strasburg, VA passed away on December 20, 2025, in Front Royal, VA.

Donald was born in Mt. Jackson, VA on November 6, 1932, to the late Melvin Ray and Frances Arlene Bambers Walters of Mt. Jackson, VA. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. Mr. Walters had a love for sports, especially golfing. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and will be missed dearly.

He is survived by his wife Louise Deloris Walters; his daughter Tamara Burkhardt (Mark); his granddaughter Hannah Burkhardt; his brother Jerry Walters (Sue) and several nieces, nephews, friends, and extended family members.  

A Memorial Celebration will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday December 26, 2025, at Stover Funeral Home, Strasburg, VA with Rev. John Haynes officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. A graveside service and interment of cremains will be held at Riverview Cemetery following the service.
