Daniel Chavez

Daniel Lomax Chavez, 47, of Winchester, VA passed away Tuesday, June 20, 2023, at Winchester Medical Center.  

A funeral service for Daniel will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, June 25, 2023, at Stover Funeral Home with Pastor Shawn Graber officiating.  Burial will follow in Mount Carmel Cemetery, Middletown, VA. 

Daniel’s nephew and his cousins will serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends at Stover Funeral Home on Saturday evening from 6-8 p.m. 

Daniel was born in Woodstock, VA on August 12, 1975, a son of Daniel and Brenda Lee Sampson Chavez.  He was a graduate of Strasburg High School and worked as a security guard.  He loved the San Francisco 49ers, NASCAR, Kyle Larson #5 was his favorite driver.  Daniel loved his cats Chaos and Roxy and was the best son, husband, and father.  

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife Dawn Marie Jones Chavez; his son Trystan Lee Chavez; his mother-in-law Ella Silvious Bavaro; several aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by a brother Juan Chavez.
